Credit
reports are obtained from a major, established credit reporting
agency. Credit reports show a person's complete financial history
and some previous addresses, the number of times a person has been
taken to collections for an unpaid debt, the number of negative
accounts (debts) a person carries, and the number of late payments
a person has made on negative accounts can all be determined from
a credit report. Credit reports are also useful for verifying personal
information about the subject, such as name, social security number
and date of birth. Maiden names and aliases can also be found on
credit reports.
